Manfred Niestroy has worked in the field of industrial property protection since 1974 and has extensive experience in patent and utility model law, as well as trademark and design law. His focus is on patent grant, opposition and revocation proceedings. His main areas of technical expertise are mechanical engineering, in particular precision engineering and optics.
Manfred Niestroy worked at VEB Relaistechnik from 1966 to 1988 and during that period he also studied patent engineering in Berlin from 1974 to 1976. He was then employed in the patent department at Carl Zeiss Jena and in the patent department at Vitron Spezialwerkstoffe GmbH Jena.
Manfred Niestroy has been recognized as a Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney since 1990 and as a European Trademark Attorney since 1996. He joined Geyer, Fehners & Partner in 1995 and became a partner at our firm in 1998.
